Sequence submissions require the preparation of two distinct file types: the sample metadata file and the fasta file(s) containing the sequence(s) for each sample.

Fasta file format:
-Please ensure that your sequences are organized as shown on the "iDPCC_Data_Standard_Template_for_Sequence_FASTA_v2.1.fasta" file.
-Each sequence block should start with the ">" character
-"Sequence_Identifier" is a unique identifier for each sequence in the fasta file and is comprised of up to three values:

"Sample_Identifier", which must match the "Sample_Identifier" value entered in the "iDPCC_Data_Standard_Template_for_Sequence_Metadata_v2.4.csv",
"Segment", which is the segment name the sequence is derived from, and
"Clone_Identifier", which is an optional field only needed for submitting multiple sequences for the same Segment, i.e., from mixed or co-infected samples.

-Examples of correct sequence header format:

	EXAMPLE (without Clone_Identifier): >Sequence_Identifier:Seq-A_0001.HA
	EXAMPLE (with Clone_Identifier): >Sequence_Identifier:Seq-A_0001.HA.1

-Fasta file names must match the value entered in the File_Name field of the .csv metadata sheet.
-Fasta files must have either .fa, .fas, or .fasta file extension.

Tips for preparing submission .zip file:
-Note: the number of metadata samples and sequence .fasta files must be equal (e.g., 5 samples of metadata must be paired with 5 individual .fasta files)
-Once all files are created and finalized, zip the .csv and .fasta file(s) together into one .zip folder. This .zip folder will be your submission file to the iDPCC.

Submitting Sequence data:
1. Navigate to the Data Submission application in the iDPCC Portal (https://app.ceirr-network.org/data-submission)
2. Click to upload or drag-and-drop your submission .zip file into the Data Submission application interface
3. Review submission following automatic validation, revise any identified errors, and click Submit when all errors (if any) have been resolved.
4. A confirmation email will be sent following successful submission to the iDPCC Portal.
